I've led engineering at places like Optum, RVO Health, and Best Buy. Organizations where scale, compliance, and business pressure all compete for priority at once. I've learned that the best engineering leaders aren't the ones with the most opinions. They're the ones who find the thread connecting business goals to technical decisions and pull it until something useful comes out.
I work best with companies that have a real problem and want a real partner, not a report.
